i know general admission opens on Wed at 7pm, but how long will that be for? all night? 24 hours??

Until everyone is in. It stays open during the whole festival for day parkers to come and go. It will finally go down to only one tollbooth when the lines dwindle down. If you arrive after that point you will be directed on where to go.
